The Gooding Chamber of Commerce strives to improve and support our community.  Chamber businesses give back to their community with the following projects:

Flower Barrels on Main Street – The Chamber of Commerce has teamed with the Gooding High School Horticulture students to maintain potted whiskey barrels along Main.  High School students collect the barrels each fall to replant and return them to Main Street in late Spring.  Business Owners are asked to keep the barrels watered and looking nice through the summer months.

Christmas Decorations – Thanks to a generous donation by Glanbia and all the donations made by businesses and citizens, the Christmas decoration project was completed in 2010.  The City graciously hangs the new decorations each Christmas Season along Main Street. 

Harlem Ambassadors - The Chamber brought the Harlem Ambassador Basketball Show to Gooding in 2010 and 2012.  The team held assembly's at the schools to talk about their belief in education and achieving goals.  In the evening, the team competed against the Gooding Redneck Shooters to a backed gymnasium.  The Chamber will uses funds from this event for College scholarships for High School seniors.

Holiday Kick Off - Each December the Chamber hosts its annual Holiday Kick Off.  The event starts off the Holiday season by promoting "shop local".  The downtown merchants offer great specials, Main Street is closed for horse drawn wagon rides, Santa arrives by Firetruck to see all the kids, and numerous businesses offer such things as face painting, making a Christmas ornament and free food.  A great time is had by all. 

Pizza & Politics - Each October during election years the Chamber sponsors Pizza & Politics.  The moderated event provides the opportunity for candidates to answer questions and meet the public.  

Monthly Membership Meetings - Held the 3rd Thursday of each month the membership meetings are a great opportunity for businesses to network with one another.  The meetings are held at the Gooding High School IEN Room at Noon.

• When consumers know that a business is a member of the local chamber, they are 44% more likely to think favorably about it.
• Consumers who are told that a business is a chamber member are 51% more likely to be highly aware of it and 57% more likely to think positively of its local reputation.
• Consumers are 63% more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company that they believe is a member of the local chamber of commerce.

Businesses and organizations located in the Magic Valley area are invited to join the Gooding Chamber of Commerce. Those outside of the area are invited to submit an application for review.
